Lena Dunham has hit out at
bosses of adult magazine Hustler who are bringing out a porn remake of the HBO
series 'Girls.'
The new series named 'This
Ain't Girls XXX,' features a sizzling version of the program's protagonist
Hannah Hovarth splits with her beau Adam Sackler to explore sexual
relationships with women.
"Okay, I wracked my brain
to articulate why I can't just laugh off a porn parody of Girls and here are 3
reasons: 1. Because Girls is, at its core, a feminist action while Hustler is a
company that markets and monetizes a male's idea of female sexuality," the
New York Post quoted her as posting on Twitter.
"2. Because a big reason
I engage in (simulated) onscreen sex is to counteract a skewed idea of that act
created by the proliferation of porn.
"3. Because it grosses me
out," she posted.
"It's important to me to
be honest about the complexities of having that out in the world. Love, Lena
(porn name: Murray Broadway)" she wrote on Twitter.
The 27-year-old actress has
won praise for showing off her "real woman's body" in the successful
series. (Source)
