Less than six months after
Gabe Saporta asked Erin Fetherston to be his wife, the Cobra Starship frontman
and the fashion designer tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Barbados on
Sunday, May 26.
"The couple chose to tie
the knot in the gardens of the historical St. Nicholas Abbey plantation,"
a rep for the newlyweds tells Us Weekly exclusively. "Fetherston wore a
gown of her own design, and Saporta wore a custom Gieves & Hawkes suit.
Images of the wedding will be featured in Martha Stewart Weddings' September
issue."
After being introduced through
mutual friends three years ago, Saporta, 33, and Fetherston, 31, got engaged on
Dec. 31, 2012. The "Good Girls Go Bad" singer worked with jewelry
designer Lorraine Schwartz to create a custom ring featuring an emerald-cut
diamond set in a pave basket on a pave band.
"I'm no dumb-dumb. I know
you don't buy jewelry for a girl without consulting her -- especially for a
girl like Erin," Saporta told Us in February. "[Erin] gave us
creative direction, and I worked with Lorraine to make it happen."
As their wedding preparations
got underway, Saporta couldn't help but gush about his future bride. "What
I really love about Erin is that being with her inspires me to be better,"
said the singer, known for hits like "You Make Me Feel..." and
"Hot Mess."
The groom gushed, "Erin
and I are able to propel one another forward without ever being critical or
judgmental. I feel like she sees my shortcomings, she sees my potential, and
she's got my back no matter what. She's my teammate and my best friend. There
is no one I'd rather spend my time with." (Source)
