Political parties want curbing corruption, says Bangladesh Anti-Corruption Commission chief

The Anti-Corruption Commission chairman, Ghulam Rahman, on Sunday said that major political parties have the mindset to curb corruption but there are some problems, which he did not explain.
He said that the parties are interested to see a strong position of the ACC because they expressed their stance against anti-corruption in their election manifestos.
The ACC chairman made the remarks at a press briefing at the commission on the observation of the Anti-Corruption Week from March 26.
Ghulam said that all the people were vocal about resisting corruption, including even the corrupt persons themselves.
The ACC director general (prevention) M Arefin announced the programmes of the Anti-Corruption Week.
The programmes include placing of wreath at National Mausoleum at about 8:30 am, photo and poster exhibition at ACC media center on March 26, and ACC media award prize giving ceremony on March 27.
The commission will bring out a protest rally from the ACC head office and end at national press club on March 28, anti corruption speeches at the national mosque and other places of worships on March 29. (Source)
